HOME INSULATION REBATE

Save with our Home Insulation Rebate. If your home was built before 1999, it may not have enough insulation. Adding insulation to your attic, walls, and foundation will improve your home’s comfort and help you cut energy costs. Please click here to learn more about this rebate offer.

Efficiency Manitoba is a new Crown Corporation dedicated to energy efficiency. As a result, our Power Smart brand has officially ended its 30-year run in Manitoba. Efficiency Manitoba now manages energy efficiency rebates and incentive programs and will contact you if you are participating in any of the programs that they have taken over. Manitoba Hydro will continue to run the financing and loan programs with the exception of the Affordable Energy Program, which is now managed by Efficiency Manitoba.

 

NOTE : Customers currently participating in an existing energy efficiency program will not be impacted - programs will be managed by Efficiency Manitoba moving forward.

You Qualify If…

  • You’re the homeowner.

  • Your home was built before 1999.

  • The home is your primary residence or the primary residence of your tenant.

  • You or your tenant live in this home year-round.

  • Your home has an active Manitoba Hydro account in your name.

  • The home has energy use consistent with someone living in the home.

  • You live in a detached, semi-detached, mobile, or modular home.

  • Your home has a permanent foundation and a permanent water supply.

  • You haven’t started the insulation work yet, purchased materials, or removed any drywall, stucco, or insulation.

  • Your home hasn’t previously received an insulation rebate for the area you’re applying for.

Income Qualifiers

Income limits based on the number of people living in the home.*

Total income is based on total household income before deductions.
